There isn't any risk except time. With the one caveat that if you have resources not licensed 'in the cloud.'

For the most part, these would be older resources which were not produced by FL. I don't know, however, if this is needed. You may end up in the same situation.
If you are worried about some of these issues and think that a 'fresh install' is needed, you might as well do a fresh install of windows as well. If you proceed, I would recommend you copying your resource files to a separate drive so that you can use the 'scan' method to prevent such a large download later. Thank you for your informative, if condescending, snarky reply. If I offended you in some way, I apologize. I have an IT background but with Logos being in a class by itself, I was just looking for some information about the risks of a complete uninstall.
If my succinctness was perceived as rude, that was not my intent. I thought I was communicating the need for a specific answer to a specific question. Obviously my communications skills need to be improved. Once again, please accept my apologies and thanks again not only for the information today but for all you do every day to help people on these forums.
Logos Bible Software For Mac
I'm talking about a fresh reinstall. A normal uninstall leaves the Logos folder with the Documents sub-folder intact; whilst the Data sub-folder with resources is removed. Manually deleting the base Logos folder before reinstalling can address issues like:-. folder Permissions, which may have been messed up previously.
corrupt or invalid databases in the Documents folder. multiple base folders e.g. If it was originally Logos5, Logos 6 will ignore it and install to Logos (Mac's stay with the Logos4 base folder) If there is a history of update issues it will also eliminate doubts in the minds of users and technicians! Thank you Mark. I would have never thought of removing Libronix as well as Logos.
I just looked and there are LIbronix residuals dating back 10 years. I assumed that the Logos installs would have removed those. No wonder I have trouble with this machine. No telling how many broken registry entries or stray dll's are lurking around. On another related topic, I remember Bob posting many years ago about how now you can throw away all your disks.everything you own is in the cloud.
Do I remember that right? That all my resources are tied to my account in the cloud and accessible to download if needed? I'm talking about a fresh reinstall. A normal uninstall leaves the Logos folder with the Documents sub-folder intact; whilst the Data sub-folder with resources is removed. Manually deleting the base Logos folder before reinstalling can address issues like:-. folder Permissions, which may have been messed up previously. corrupt or invalid databases in the Documents folder.
multiple base folders e.g. If it was originally Logos5, My thoughts exactly Dave. My plan is to follow your advice about backing up the resources and then doing a complete uninstall of everything Logos/ Libronix related including the registry entries then doing a 'method 3' reinstall. You guys are really great!
Thanks for all the help.
