A problem accessing SAP GUI via the Mac began April 1. The issue totally prevents users from accessing SAP via a Mac. To fix the issue, SAP has released a new version of the SAP GUI (7.40 release 1).

In order to make this conversion to the new GUI users will need to perform two activities: 1. Validate the Java applet plug-in is enable and you’ve updated to the latest version (Java 8 Update 40). Beginning April 2nd, the GUI needs to be updated. A few important notes about the new release: Firefox is the preferred browser for the SAP MAC GUI interface. Please note, Safari, regardless of the JAVA version, will work for all Firefly’s Employee Self Service interaction. Basic functionality is still the same but you will notice a difference in the icons on this new release.
